7 Questions again this week! 
{Note: I'm a day late, yes. I started it yesterday but the day got away from me.}

This photo was taken at my best friend's Bachelorette Party in Minneapolis. This was us trekking down  flights of stairs from the roof top bar we were at. Heels + Stairs + Drinking = Hilarious and Disastrous. 

1. Do you have any weird food combinations that you love?

Not really... It'll be interesting once I'm pregnant though, right?

2. Have you ever written a blog post, published it, then immediately deleted it?

Yes, I think once. But I mainly have a bunch of drafts that I never published in the first place.

3. What is a hair style you wish you could pull off, but would never be brave enough to try?

For the longest time growing up, I always said I would someday shave my head....for two reasons. One, being I thought it would be very liberating. And two, to let my hair grow new again. Never say never, but I highly doubt I'll ever do it.

4. Would you rather have to always use the sun to tell the time or directions by the stars?
The sun is "easier" to tell the time of the day, so it would be really cool to be able to follow directions by the stars. 

5. What is a fall trend you are excited to try?
Maxi skirts with chunky sweaters.

6. Who is your style icon?
I really don't have one style icon, as I tend to find inspiration in many things. But I've always loved the styles of Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Zoe Saldana, Kate Bosworth, Olivia Palermo, and Kristen Cavallari.

7. What's your favorite outdoor activity?
I love going on walks with my pups, playing softball and kickball, grilling out with friends...I could go on and on (I love the outdoors!)

My funny photo consists of my pup Bella, who is the comedian of the family. She is seriously human. She cracks me up every day with her awesomely awkward and hilarious faces and poses!

So, now to 7 Questions...

1. Bold or Understated?
It really depends on what we're talking about here. Fashionably speaking, I think I'm a mix of both. I love wearing bold and over-the-top outfits that make people stop and think, but at the same time, I'm all about the classic look. So, I'm sticking with both!

2. You have to survive alone in the wild and you only get to take one thing with you. Your choices are: A pocket knife, a water bottle, or a book. Which do you choose and why?
A pocket knife, because hopefully I can find myself water...and the knife will definitely come in handy for multiple reasons {I have watched Man Vs. Wild on the Discovery channel, duh}

3. Thirty two cows, seven eight chickens, how many didn't?
I have NO idea what the hell this is...fail?

4. Would you rather die doing one legendary act of service or do small acts of kindness that may go unnoticed every day?
100% small acts of kindness. It's all about the little things, right?

5. Happiness is ________. (one word; fill in the blank)
simplicity {it was the first word that came to mind}

6. Can you laugh without smiling?
Uh, sure...can't everyone? But I'm assuming I look super creepy.

7. Do you pop your knuckles?
Yes, all the time. In fact, I just did...

Although this photo is obviously not of me, I couldn't resist sharing this! Last  Friday Bella woke up with her lip stuck like this...I almost peed myself!!

1. It's the first day of August - Are you savoring the summer or ready to jump into fall?
Tough question, because I love summer...yes I even don't really mind the heat. But I also love fall, the leaves changing colors, the smell in the air...and this year it just so happens that my two best friend's are getting married in September! Lots of exciting stuff going on over the next two months now! :)

2. You need a quick and healthy meal, what do you make?

Couscous with tofu and either nori or asparagus - super easy, healthy, and delicious!
{adding a little low sodium soy sauce adds a little more flavor to the meal :)}

OR

Caprese Salad - grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and a little olive oil and pepper. So good!
 {I made this salad with Andrew's grandma's fresh basil...even better!}

3. You're at a mall, how do you shop? 
I used to take my time shopping, which partly had to do with me growing up with the closest {good} mall being an hour and a half away. But now that I can go to the mall anytime I want, I usually go with a specific purpose in mind. I already feel like that old person who thinks malls are over-crowded and too noisy. {ha!}

4. Would you rather buy a new house or renovate an old one?
100% buy a new house! But not for the reasons people may think. I grew up in the same house for 18 years of my life and then when I moved to Minnesota {from Wisconsin} I've moved a total of 7 times...ugh! And I've lived in places anywhere from being completely ghetto with a crack house across the street to the brand new condo I'm living in now. And what I've realized from all the different places I've lived is that some places I felt extremely safe in {regardless of how "unsafe" the neighborhood may have been} and others I felt completely unsafe. I believe in "vibes" and energy from homes..of the people who previously lived there. Some good...some bad. Moral of the story is, if the place is brand new...then no one else could have lived there...therefore I'll know full well that there won't be any bad energy in my home.  

5. Long hair or short hair?
LONG...obviously. Always have...always will.

6. Who is your oldest (not by age) friend?
My best friend in the entire world, Samantha! We've been best friend's since the age of five...so we're going on our 20th anniversary! She's truly the most remarkable individual I've ever known and I'm so blessed to have known her nearly my entire life! I have no doubt that we'll be friends forever!

What is your favorite blog - currently?
I'm definitely guilty of not reading a lot of blogs religiously...but one blog I recently stumbled upon that I love is {Love Chugs}. Weslie's writing is so honest and real...plus she has literally the most adorable family ever!!
